Now that my fundraiser event is complete (check out the Charity and Donations tab) I've been able to get back to designing! I'm currently working on a set of alphabet train patterns and number train patterns that include everything you would need to knit them from a steam engine to the caboose and all the train cars and letters/numbers in between. The first few of those patterns have been charted and written, I just need to knit the test swatches then I will post them. I'm also drawing up a few new patterns for Autism Awareness. They are super cool and I can't wait to get them done! Keep checking back for updates, I'll post news and pattern updates here.
Hello! I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself.
My name is Courtney and I live in the Fingerlakes region of Western New York. I'm happily married with two kids I spoil way too much. :) I've been knitting for almost three years now, once I learned I never looked back. I was just walking through the craft isle of my local Walmart when I saw a knitting starter kit that came with a book, a DVD, and two sets of knitting needles. My husband bought it for me for Christmas along with a small skein of cheap yarn to practice on. Between the book (which I hated because it was extremely hard for me to follow!) and You-Tube tutorial videos I eventually picked it up. My favorite things to knit are hats of all kinds, baby blankets, scarves, dishcloths, and anything with sock yarn! I'm a total sock yarn junkie! Love the sock yarn but making socks not so much. I'm a member of Ravelry which is a knitting and crocheting community online that you can join totally for free. I really like it and enjoy the tons of patterns and great groups. I love "knit swapping" too, it's a great way to learn about new people and places. I'd love to hear how other people got started ....what's your craft, knit or crochet? What do you like to make? How did you get started? |
